Travel by Air

Ireland's international airports - Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Shannon and Knock - are all served by flights from a growing number of European and long-haul destinations, with some airlines flying directly from selected US and Canadian cities.  All US-based airlines operate connections wihin the US or Europe.  Clients travelling from, or via, Great Britain can avail of even more routes to smaller airports - City of Derry, Donegal, Kerry and Waterford.  Many European airport hubs also provide onward connections to Ireland, including airports in London, Amsterdam, Paris, Madrid and Frankfurt. 

The island of Ireland is easily accessible by air, with over 30 airlines flying routes from more than 70 destinations to Ireland’s international and regional airports. One- stop services from Australia to Ireland includes Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways through the e Middle East, while Cathay Pacific Also offers one- stop services from Australia to Ireland via Hong Kong. One-Stop options from New Zealand include Cathay Pacific, Emirates and Qatar, as well as an Air New Zealand/Aer Lingus partnership via San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago. Many airlines offer fairs to Dublin as a Continuation of their one-stop services to the UK and continental Europe. “Open-jaw” airfares are also commonly available (i.e. fly into London and out of Dublin or vice versa; or fly into Paris and out of Belfast or vice versa). This can take advantage of Ireland’s zero/reduced departure tax, saving hundreds of dollars.

Clients from China can now travel directly to Ireland, with Cathay Pacific offering direct flights from Hong Kong to Dublin, and Hainan Airlines direct service from Beijing to Dublin.  Non direct routes are also available from Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou & Hong Kong via Europe and the Middle East with a range of airlines including Air France, British Airways, Etihad, Emirates, KLM, Lufthansa, Finnair and KLM.

Clients from India can travel from Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai via Europe and the Middle East with a range of airlines including Air France, British Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Jet Airways, KLM, Lufthansa, Swiss Air, Turkish Airways and Virgin Atlantic.

Travel by Sea

Direct ferry services run between Ireland and both Great Britain and France.  Clients can also travel from a number of European countries to ports in Great Britain and France, and sail from there to Ireland.
